Common Pediatric Rheumatology Problem for Medical Students
At the end of the course, participants should be able to recognize symptoms and signs of pediatric autoimmune conditions, systemic vasculitis and juvenile idiopathic arthritis. They should be able to send initial investigations and give proper management for theses conditions before referral to pediatric rheumatologists.
1. Recognize clinical presentations of autoimmune conditions, systemic vasculitides and juvenile idiopathic arthritis
2. Differentiate between septic arthritis, reactive arthritis and juvenile idiopathic arthritis
4. Recognize common musculoskeletal problem in children, particularly growing pains (benign nocturnal pains of childhood)
5. Diagnose and give appropriate management for IgA vasculitis and Kawasaki disease in terms of prevention potential complications
