One Health Concept and Knowledge : Epidemiology for One Health
At the end of the course, participants should be able to
1.Understand and explain the principles of One Health and its importance in the context of global epidemiology.
2.Identify the key functions of epidemiology in disease surveillance, outbreak response, and research within the One Health framework.
3.Apply knowledge of epidemiological tools and methods to analyze and interpret data for informed decision-making in public health.
4.Recognize the role of early detection and rapid response systems in managing public health emergencies like the COVID-19 pandemic.
5.Appreciate the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health, and propose integrated approaches to address issues like antimicrobial resistance and zoonotic diseases.
